FM Belfast's little tune "Underwear" is a classic.
Quite unclassifiable, it is not quite electronica and not quite pop. It is caught between no-man's between the two genres. Featuring catchy lyrics, the song evokes memories of endless summers.
Beginning with the captivating words, "we come from a place that we count the days", the song draws you to a world of bleak boredom and solitude. But instead of making you despair, "Underwear" instead encourages the listener to draw upon their imagination to spark up something altogether more interesting than the reality.
FM Belfast are from Iceland, and I would suggest they have drawn inspiration from their surrounds.
I look forward to acquainting myself with the full album "How to Make Friends".
