This is a music-up, windows-down, summer-lipstick tune – insanely catchy and upbeat. It’s the title track from Calvin Harris’s second album, "Ready for the Weekend", and if it isn’t already everywhere, it soon will be.

It’s positively awash with retro '90s touches.  There are synth sounds reminiscent of Aqua's ‘Barbie Girl’ (a blast from the not-so-past) - to dig back even further into that era the tune's got a diva vocal hook.  And to get the sound just right, a tinny manufactured piano melody features.

A darling of his time, Harris gives the rest of the sound over to lo-fi, with blank vocals and a single-finger melody; the whole thing rainbows out over a four-on-the-floor beat.  It all comes together from the very beginning - it's uptempo and engaging; primary coloured, but with more than a hint of boredom.

From a songwriter who won an Ivor Novello Award, you could be forgiven for expecting something more… something more… just something more from this, the spearhead track of his new album.  But all we get, sings Harris, is a thrill from clapping our hands.
